Situated beneath the town's big windmill, visitors can relax in the public gardens or discover the many things the region has to offer.
The centre is a good starting point for exploring the little desert and has an extensive range of information and free wifi is available.

Visitors can select from a small range of local produce whilst also enjoying an espresso coffee in the cafe which is combined with the information centre itself.
The Cafe is open for breakfast weekdays from 7.30am. The speciality is all day breakfasts, but the menu also features pies, pasties, sandwiches, focaccias and lots more.
Upstairs houses the Kaniva Footwear Collection which highlights many shoes worn by famous Australians including Slim Dusty, Ex Prime minister Malcolm Frazer, TV Celebrity Don Burke and home-grown talent including footballers Glen Hawker and Roger Merrett.
Caravan parking, baby change facilities and public toilets are situated next to the windmill.
